Prickiga boxen - The Polka Dot Box. 

En nära vän till mig firade sin födelsedag så jag bestämde mig för att skapa en söt presentlåda till henne med lite godsaker och grejer i.
En låda som hon kunde stoppa andra små saker i om hon ville, så där av inga siffror på den.

A close friend of mine celebrated her birthday so I decided to make a cute gift box for her with some goodies and stuff in it.
A box that she could put other small things in it if she wanted, therefore no numbers on it.

Började med att skapa botten.
Använde CS Black från Bazzill,  storlek 30*30cm.
Mätte upp, du kan se mallen nedan, hoppas du kan tyda den, om inte så säg till mig.

Jag vek på bägge sidorna för jag tycker hörnen ser mer starka och prydliga ut.

Started with creating the bottom part.
Used CS Black from Bazzill,  size 30*30cm.
Did the measuring, you can se the template below, hope you can read it, if not let me know.

I folded both sides because I think the corner looks more solid and proper.

Klipp med sax i fyra hörnen.

Cut with scissor in the four corners.

Dom vikta kanterna limmades ihop för att göra hörnen stadigare och snyggare.
Fliken limmades därefter mot en av sidorna.

The folded edges were glued together to make sturdier nicer looking corners.
The flap was then glued to one of the sides.

The lid folded has the sizes 10,5cm*10.5 cm.,

Skar ut DP delar  storlek 9*9cm på de svarta stora bitarna och 9,5*9,5cm på den stora turkosa biten.
De randiga små storlek 9,5*3cm.

Cut out DP pieces size 9 *9cm the big black ones and 9,5cm*9,5cm the turquoise big piece.
 The striped small ones are size 9,5 *3cm.

Distressade alla kanterna med samma Black Sooth.

Distressed all the edges with the same Black Sooth.

Dags att limma på det matchande banden. Jag använder Tacky glue, gillar inte dubbelhäftande tejp.
Jag är mer en lim-älskare. Jag vill att det ska hålla länge.

Time to glue on the matching ribbon. I use Tacky glue, not a fan of double sided tape.
I´m more a glue-lover. I want it to hold for a long time.

Dekorationen på locket. Distressade kronbladen.
Stansade ut murgrönebladen ( dies från John Next Door) på CS "String of Pearls", Bling Bazzill.

Jag använde också metaltråden från stammarna från pappersblommorna till dekoration.

I also used the metal wire stems from the paper flowers for decoration.

Ibland vet man inte hur kortet ska se ut som man vill skapa.
Som denna gång. Jag hade bara en önskan: färg.
Detta är slutresultatet.

Sometimes you just don´t know what look on a card you want to create. 
Like this time. I had only one wish: colour. 
This is the end result.

'Med motto " Du kan aldrig göra fel i scrapbooking" så rotade jag runt i min pysselgarderob, gick igenom mina lådor av grejer. Sen började jag med att gör en bakgrund till framsida.

Stämplade på slät vit CS och färglade. Embossade bläckfisken på den med svart embossingpulver.

With the motto "You can never do anything wrong in scrapbooking" I simply rummaged around in my craft closet, went through my boxes of stuff. Then I started to make the  background for the front.

Stamping  on plain white CS and colouring. Embossed the Octopus on it with black embossing powder.

Jag ritade små cirklar runt bläckfisken med finspetsad Sakura Pigma penna innan jag gjorde små droppar med Dovecraft 3D för att få en bubblig under vattenytan effekt.

 I drew small circles around the octopus with a fine nibbed Sakura Pigma pen before making small drops with Dovecraft 3D to get a bubbly below the water surface effect.

Kortbas 15*15cm CS är jag osäker på. Antingen är det Oasis eller Blue Odyssey, Reprint 
Dom tre delarna som ramar är 14*14cm CS Anise från Florence.
  
Alla kanterna på sidorna på dem tre är distressade med två färger: Blueprint Sketch och Peacock Feathers, se föregående bild högre upp.

Card base is 15*15cm. Unsure about the CS. Either Oasis or Blue Odyssey, Paper Accent.

Samma färger distressad på bokstäverna efter utstansning med Cuttlebugs Olivia dies på slät vit CS.
Jag ville att dom skulle smälta in och bara hinta.
Samma sätt med siffrorna inuti kortet.

Same colours distressed on the letters after using the dies with Cuttlebug Olivia on plain white CS.
Wanted them to blend in and just be hinting ( it says "For You").
Same way with the numbers inside the card.

Texten på insidan är min egen design och handskriven.
Stämplade med både Distress (Peacock F / Blueprint S) och Versafine svart.

Catyas Box

 Catyas Box.

Det har varit lite anarki i köksskåpet där hon hade sitt godis.  

Det stod också en enklare gjord äldre låda tillhörande min första hund, med hennes namn, Ruth, på den. Jag kände att Catya, som varit med oss i lite över 2 år, behövde en egen låda. 

Den gamla lådan ställde jag undan på ett annat säkert ställe.

It has been a bit of anarchy in the kitchen cabinet where she had her snack stuff.

Also there was a simpler made older box belonging to my first dog, with her name, Ruth, on it.
I felt that Catya, who has been here with oss for just a bit over 2 years, needed to have her own box.

The old box I put away in another safe place. 

Så jag vill visa er hur jag gjorde, jag använde en skolåda som bas. Skar bort locket. 

Ni kan se pilarna peka mot sidorna- flikarna.Jag limmade dem för att ge lådan bättre stadga.

So I want to show you how I made it, I used a shoe box for the base. cut off the lid. 

You see the arrows point to the sides- the flaps. I glued the to make the box steadier.

Jag älskar att använda brunt paketpapper. 

Tycker den är neutral och har en gammeldags känsla som också är lätt att dekorera.

Jag klippte av en bit och började med att limma botten. Catya kollade så att jag gjorde det rätt ;)

I love to use brown gift rapping paper. 

Think it´s  neutral and a has vintage feel that also easy to decorate.

I cut out a piece and started with gluing the bottom. Catya check it out to see that I did it right ;)

Kortsidorna. Jag har provat olika sätt att göra dem, vissa mer krångligt än nödvändigt.
Denna gång ville jag att det skulle se ut som ett paket.

Detta var en av de enklare sätten tyckte jag. Hoppas ni kan se på bilderna hur jag vek. 
Kom ihåg det finns inget fel sätt att göra det.

I varje liten vikt pappersficka hade jag lite lim i. Klippte bort överskottet av pappret på toppen innan jag vek den över kanten.

The short ends. I have tried different ways to make them, some more complicated than necessary.
This time I wanted it to look more like a rapped gift.

This was one of the easier ways I think. Hope you can see in the pictures how I folded.
Remember there is no wrong way of doing it.

In every little folded paper pocket I put some glue. Cut off the excess of the paper on the top before folding it over the edge.

Klippte ut bokstäver i vit slät cardstock.
Färglade dem med Promarkerpennor och distressade kanterna med Black Soot stämpelfärg från Tim Holtz innan jag limmade dem på boxen.

Cut out letters in white plain cardstock.
Coloured them with  Promarker pens and distressed the edges with Black Soot ink from Tim Holtz before gluing them on the box.

Hon var väldigt nöjd med den, speciell godiset som hon fick för vårt goda lagarbete.
