Los Minialbum - Los Mini Album. <3

En nära vän till mig hade en underbar Rottweiler vid namn Lo som var "bestis" med min Rottweiler Ruth.

I början av Maj visste vi att Lo var sjuk så jag kände att jag ville skapa ett minialbum med bilder från när vi mötte henne för första gången till semester vi firade ihop och när vi var hundvakt till finaste Lo.

Men i slutet av Maj blev hon plötsligt mycket sämre och somnade in och minialbumet blev plötsligt än mer viktigt att skapa.
Det tog, pga andra ledsamma händelser, tills nu att bli klar men det var så värt det.
Jag saknar Lo så mycket. vi alla gör det.
Detta är resultatet.

A close friend of my hade a lovely Rottweiler called Lo that was best friend with my Rottweiler Ruth.

In the beginning of May we knew Lo was poorly so I felt that I wanted to create a mini album with pictures form  when we met her from the first time to vacations we had together and when we were dog sitting precious Lo.

But in the end of May she suddenly got worse and she passed away and the mini album got suddenly even more important to be created.
It took, due to other sad happenings until now to finishing it but it has been so worth it.
I miss Lo so much. We all do.
This is the result.

Så hur gick jag till väga?
Jag har ju aldrig gjort ett minialbum tidigare så jag fick googla på nätet för att se hur andra gjort så jag hade ett hum om att få det bra.

Jag hade en kartonglåda som jag använde som stomme.

So how did I make it?
Well I have never done a mini album before so  I had to google on the internet to see how others done so I knew how to make it work.

I had a cardboard box I used for the album frame.

I vår lokala bokhandel hittade jag cardstock som var tillräckligt stort till att klä in albumets stomme.

som ni kan se på bild nedan så så gjorde jag den 3 cm större runt om.

In our local book store I found cardstock that was big enough to cover the album frame.

As you can see in picture below I made it 3 cm bigger to be able to wrap it around.

Sen bladen. På bilder nedan kan du se på första storleken på bladen, jag gjorde 8 stycken i samma cardstock som albumets stomme är klätt i.

Nästa bild visar delarna som limmas ihop i mitten av albumet som du sen fäster sidorna i för att kunna vända bladen.
På tredje och fjärde bilderna kan ni se hur det är limmat ihop. Bladen formar en ficka.

Then the pages. On pictures below you can se first the size of the page, I made 8 of these in same cardstock as on the frame.

Next picture shows the pieces  for the pages to be glued on in the middle of the album, sorry i don´t know what you call it...like page turning mechanism :)
on the third and fourth pictures you can se it how its glued together. the pages forms a pocket.

Here´s a short film clip and picture how it looked when the album body was done.

Till sidornas fickor gjorde jag utdragbara sidor i vit CS. Kantens stansade med en spetsstans och distressade (se bild nedan). Sen skar jag ut rutor i olika DP, sammanlagt 32 stycken.

därefter började det stora jobbet att sätta ihop foton och DPdelarna, se till att dom matchar färgmässigt och i rätt ordning. Tog ett tag.

For the page pockets I made in white card stock pull- out pages. Edges punched with a lace punch and distressed (see picture below). Then I cut out  different DP square pieces, totally 32 of them.

After that the big job of putting photos and DP together, to see that they colour match and getting them in right order. Took a while.

Jag gjorde dessa två fickor att limma på insidan av albumets pärmar.Använde cirkeldies från QuicKutz och jag gjorde de rosa cirkelramarna något större för jag ville att den svarta CS skulle rama in fotona lite snyggt.

På första bilden nedan kan ni s ett mistag jag gjorde.
Först gjorde jag skar jag bara ut en fyrkantig pappersbit med ett hål i och trodde att det skulle funka men så insåg jag att det skulle bli för tajt så jag fick göra pappfickor istället.
Limmade på två sidor och sen fastlimmade på insidan av pärmarna.

I made this two pocket to glue on the inside of the album cover sides. Used circle dies from QuicKutz and I made the pink circle frames a bit bigger than the hole cause I wanted the black CS to frame the pictures nicely.

On the first picture below you can se a misstake I did.
First I just made a square with a hole thinking that would work but I realised it would be to tight so I hade to make paper pockets.
Glued togheter on two sides and then glued on the album cover side.

Hjärtat på framsidan är en dies från QuicKutz och jag tror det rosa CS är tickled Pink från Reprint. Kantdistressad med samma distress som tidigare Balck sooth från Ranger.
Bokstäverna som formar hennes namn LO är handgjorda och embossade med Svart embossingpulver från Reprint.

Jag använde samma spetsstans från Martha Stewart till den rosa pärmryggens dekoration.

Till dekoreringen på in- och- utsidan använde jag dessa saker, se bilder nedan.

The heart shape on the front is a dies from QuicKutz and I think the Pink CS is called Tickled Pink from Paper Accents. Edges distressed with same distress as before, Black sooth from Ranger.
The letters forming her name: LO is handmade and embossed with black Embossing powder from Reprint.

I used same lace punch from Martha Stewart for the pink binder back decoration.

 For decoration  inside and outside I used this things, see pictures below.

Fick en kortbeställning med väldig kort om tid- bara 24 timmar så det skulle hinna fram med snigelpost. Födelsedagsmannen älskar fiske så jag använde det som tema som ni kan se.

Got a order with very short notice- only 24 hours so it would get there in time through snail mail.

The birthday man loves fishing and that´s what I used as a card theme as you can see.  

Jag är i en period där jag skapar kort  ofta i denna storlek 20*10cm. CS för kortbasen heter Dusk tror jag, CS ramen är Great Lakes, Reprint.
DP Summertime  "Glittering Water" från Maja Design och kantdistressat med Walnut Stain från Ranger.

Så här såg min ritning ut innan jag färglade den med mina Promarkerpennor och sen när den var målad och utklippt.

The text says:

To fish is like living.

Golftema var önskat på ett födelsedagskort till en kvinna som fyllde 70 och detta är vad jag skapade.

Golf theme was requested on a birthday card for a woman that turned 70 and this is what I created.

Kortbas 15*15cm. CS Quicksand, ramen Brandy wine, cirkeln Chablis, alla från Reprint.

DP Till the Earth  US2009D, Plum seed. DPn i cirkeln - okänd.

Sen tecknandet och färgläggningen. Använde dies från QuicKutz för cirkelformen.

Kanterna på DPn och på textbitarna på insidan distressades med Walnut Stain, Ranger.

The text on the left  says something like this:

Both the bad and the good results are important in life to create a nice balance och it is only you who can do it.

Dare to give and take for that is what makes you you.

Fick en beställning från en mormor att skapa ett födelsedagskort till hennes barnbarn Elliot. Jag har tidigare skapat ett "Välkommen till världen"kort och hans ett-årskort så det var roligt att få göra detta kort också.
Han älskar Babblarna så det var ett bra tema till kortet.

Got an order from a grandmother to make a birthday card for her grandchild Elliot. I´ve done his "Welcome to the world" card and his fist birthday card so it was fun to make this one as well.

He loves Babblarna (Swedish language educational figures base on what they call the Karlstad model. Very good for small children) so that was a great theme for the card.

Började med att rita figurerna och bilen, färglade med Promarkerpennor (se bild nedan).

Kortbasen är 15*15cm CS Vibrant blue, ramen är av hallonröd CS som ajg itne vet namnet på men bägge är från Reprint. DP Blue & Ivory Ribbon Stripe (CCP2243) från Canvas Corp.

Started with the drawing of the figures and car, coloured with Promarker pens (see pictures below).

Card base is 15*15 cm CS Vibrant Blue, frame a red CS i don´t know the name of but it is more red-rasberry coloured both  from Paper Accents. DP  Blue & Ivory Ribbon Stripe (CCP2243) from Canvas Corp.

Inuti kortet. Färgerna i bokstäverna E L L I O T är samma färger som Babblarna.

Texten är handskriven.
